You can't place your body in an MR1 machine during each exercise to see what area of a muscle is activated by a par' ticular exercise. You can't perform a cat scan on your brain to determine what neural pathways are being activated by today's workout. But you don't need to! If your Power Factor is 6,500 pounds per minute this workout, and last workout it was 5,600 pounds per minute, then you are absolutely, positively generating more output from your muscles. And who cares if it's because of hormone secretion or neural pathways or both? All these systems work together anyway, so isolating one or the other through complex testing does not really provide any practical benefit to the athlete who just wants results. Train by the numbers, and everything else will take care of itself.
