Many female competitors used GH (Growth Hormone) also. Since it has no virilizing effects, aids in fat use for energy, is highly anabolic and anti-catabolic, this is no surprise. They worked very hard for their gains, too. The most beneficial period for GH use was reputed to be weeks #13-18. 2 I.U. once daily after training created impressive results. A second injection either upon waking or 12 after training was noted quite beneficial also. The second injection was also 2 I.U. in most cases, though some reported good progress from 1 I.U. 2xd. I have known many female athletes who used much higher dosages for greater periods of time. I just did not see the need when thinking about far sighted goals. By extending the use of GH to week #18, an increase in post-cycle muscle mass and strength retention was realized by those who employed this advanced principle.
