Excuse: "I am too tired to do my workout."

The Bust: Being tired shouldn't necessarily prevent you from working out, but rather, it might alter the type of exercise you do or the amount of time you spend doing it. When done correctly, exercise should stimulate you physically and mentally. Your workout will turn a day that is lacking in drive, motivation, and energy into one that is positively reinforcing and bursting with energy and excitement at the possibility of it all.

"By the time I met David as part of the 'Extreme Makeover' television show, I was willing to try anything. Although I thought I had a good knowledge of how to lose weight, I was willing to concede that my formula wasn't working and hadn't worked for a long time. I had always lifted weights at the gym, learning the exercises from bodybuilders and bodybuilding magazines. I didn't know it at the time, but I was doing a 'guy's' program—and it showed. The diet kicked in, the workouts kicked in, and whatever was stored in my system started coming out. David motivated me, teaching me to think every day about being healthy and fit. I began thinking hard about the choices I was making, about what I was putting in my mouth and what I was doing with my time.
